ABOUT GOCA
The Greater Oakton Community Association (GOCA) was established in the spring of 2019 to improve and preserve the attributes
of the greater Oakton community.

GOCA acts as a non-political conduit for sharing community information; helping establish new programs benefiting the community; promoting civic engagement; and working to preserve the area’s historic and environmental assets.

Our priorities are determined by the community at GOCA’s semi-annual community meetings held at the Oakton Library
or other appropriate locations.

GOCA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization as designated by the IRS. All GOCA officers work on a voluntary basis only. Donations are tax-deductible.

Co-Chairs: Lauren Crum and Shelley Deutch

Members of the Greater Oakton Community Association Board serve three-year terms. Current Board members include the co-chairs;
our Founding Co-Chair, Janet Kerr-Tener; and local residents Jody Bennett, Linda Byrne, Jackie Davey, Mark Deaton, Michelle Fisher, Kris Olsen, Robin Thurman, and Gary Wong.

Membership in GOCA is free and open to all interested Oakton residents. Please email us to get on our mailing list.
