About Us
The Greater Oakton Community Association (GOCA) was established in the spring of 2019 to help improve and preserve the qualities that make the greater Oakton community such a special place to live.
GOCA serves as a non-political, all-volunteer organization that connects residents with one another and with the issues that affect our community. We share important local information, support the creation of new programs that benefit Oakton, promote civic engagement, and help ensure that residents have a voice with their elected representatives. GOCA also works to protect and celebrate Oakton’s historic character and environmental assets.
Who's in charge?
Current Board members are Co-Chairs Lauren Crum and Shelley Deutch; our Founding Co-Chair, Janet Kerr-Tener; and local residents Linda Byrne, Anne Carter, Jackie Davey, Mark Deaton, Kris Olsen, Robin Thurman, and Gary Wong. Members of the Greater Oakton Community Association Board serve three-year terms.
Membership in GOCA is free and open to all interested Oakton residents. Please email us to get on our mailing list: contact@greateroakton.com
